Sibyle Lee Gill, 90, of Hayti, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at the Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Ky.
Born Oct. 16, 1918, in Swift, Mo., daughter of the late Samuel and Eula Richie Kolwyck, she was an educator and nutritionist in the Delta Headstart Program, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hayti and attended the Christian Community Church in Murray.
On Dec. 22, 1934, in Blytheville, Ark., she married Harvey Gill, who preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1986.
Survivors include her children, Sarah McDaniel and husband, Charles, of Roanoke, Va., Ray Gill and wife, Marie, of Memphis, Tenn., Harold Gill, of Piggott, Ark., and Brenda Call and husband, William, of Murray; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Hayti with Drs. Mike Melton and Tony Cherry officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were deacons from the First Baptist Church.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
