Bertie Lou Johnson, 77, of Dexter, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at her residence.
Born Sept. 13, 1931, in Patterson, Ark., daughter of the late Albert Nathaniel and Cora Elizabeth Tippy Owens, she was co-owner of Johnson Refrigeration before retiring and was of the Baptist faith.
On Oct. 4, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married J.W. Johnson, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1995. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Marie Atnip and three brothers, Revis, Doyle and Robert Owens.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Johnson, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Jason Johnson, of Dexter; two daughters, Rhonda Hall, of Dexter and Jeanine Bomar, of Jackson, Mo.; two brothers, Warren Owens, of Farmington, Mo., and Bobby Owens, of Steele, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 19, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Vail officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
