Erma Lee Woolverton Blue, 57, of Owensboro, Ky., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at Nashville, Tenn.
Born Aug. 10, 1951, at Gideon, Mo., daughter of Sarah Randolph Woolverton of Malden, Mo., and the late William "Sam" Woolverton, she was a 1969 graduate of Gideon High School. After college, she worked for several years in insurance sales. In August 2007, she retired from Hagar Preschool in Owensboro as a family advocate. She was an avid card player and a member of the Owensboro Christian Church.
In 1997,she married John Blue, who survives. Survivors include four sons, Lance Woolverton, Neal Blue, and Kent Blue, and wife Emily, all of Owensboro, and Lee Blue, and wife Melissa, of Sacramento, Ky.; two brothers, the Rev. Gary Woolverton, and wife Vickie, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Geral Woolverton, and wife Susan, of Malden; one sister, Twyla Merrell, and husband Lloyd, of Madisonville, Ky.; and four grandchildren, Samuel Blue and Izzy Blue, both of Owensboro, and Payton Blue and Keegan Blue, both of Sacramento.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, with the Rev. Aulden LeBlanc officiating.
Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
