Shirley Ezell, 81, of Campbell, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Born July 21, 1927, in Campbell, son of the late Mike Edward and Ethel Mae Ligons Ezell, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a bus driver and of the Pentecostal faith.

On Dec. 21, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Mereda Mae Thrasher, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Raymond Ezell, of Campbell and one sister, Hallie Malone, of Park Hills, Mo.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Jack, Otis, Harvey, Franklin and Eddie Ezell and one sister, Martha Pierce.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Cruz officiating.

Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell.
