William Harley "Bill" McKeel, 81, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at National HealthCare in Kennett.
Born June 21, 1927, in Rector, Ark., son of the late Clyde and Jewell Henley, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in WWII. He was a principal at Kennett High School and a past president of the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals.
On May 30, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., he married Mary Jane Redmond, who preceded him in death on Aug. 22, 2006.
Survivors include two sons, William Jiles McKeel and wife, Susan, of Sautee, Ga., and Stuart McKeel, of Keenesaw, Ga.; one sister, Betty Jester, of Decater, Ill., and three grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Heights Cemetery at Rector, Ark.
