James Joseph Klinkhardt, 92, of Hayti, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
Born May 5, 1916, in Pemiscot County, Mo., son of the late George J. Sr., and Fannie Anglin Klinkhardt, he was owner/operator of Klinkhardt Auto Sales Hayti, installed engines in cotton gins and repaired small engines. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hayti.
Survivors include his wife, Robbie Klinkhardt, of Hayti;
four daughters, Evelyn Swaffer and husband, Mel, of Memphis, Tenn., Sue Mansfield and husband, Tom, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Belinda Laster and husband, Ricky, of Hayti and Melinda Arbuckle and husband, John, of Wardell, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, George Klinkhardt Jr.; one sister, Anne Strathern and one grandson, Bibb Barnes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Bros. Doug Wahls and Jack Duckworth officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Randy and Brent Barnes, David Duckworth, Jamie Vaughn, Justin Arbuckle and Brandon Stracener.
Honorary pallbearers are Sonny and Duke Turnage, Curtis Thornton and Jim Brimhall.
