Born July 1, 1931, in Octa, Mo., son of the late Herbert and Beulah Lemons Sikes, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was owner of Sikes Furniture in Arbyrd.
On July 31, 1967, in Paragould, he married Joyce Johns, who preceded him in death on Sept. 26, 2006. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Luke Partlow.
Survivors include two sons, Kenny Sikes and Curtis Lindsey and wife, Robin, all of Paragould; three daughters, Sondra Flynn and husband, Jeff, of Bentonville, Ark., Sherry Hoskins and husband, Danny, of Paragould and Donna Partlow and husband, Dany, of Dierks, Ark.; one sister, June Cummins and husband, Richard, of West Memphis, Ark.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., today, Wednesday, Nov. 26, in the Cardwell Cemetery at Cardwell, Mo., with Rev. Allen Cureton officiating.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd was in charge of arrangements.
