Flora Elizabeth Harvell, 85, of Grandin, Mo., died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at her residence.
Born Oct. 4, 1923, in Holcomb, Mo., daughter of the late William Elmore Day and Laura Melissa Ida Belle Dickerson, she was a member of the Henderson Chapel Church in Henderson, Mo.
On Oct. 4, 1939, in Holcomb, she married Lorenzo William Harvell, who preceded her in death on April 25, 2001. She was also preceded in death by one son, Quincy Harvell; two sisters, Mary Louise Thornberry and Juanita Davidson; one brother, Homer Day and one grandson, Delbert Harvell.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Boyer and husband, Charles, of Grandin; three sons, John Harvell and wife, Cynthia, of Cabot, Ark., Roland Harvell and wife, Joan, of Hesperia, Calif., and Gary Harvell and wife, Linda, of DeSoto, Mo.; one brother, Junior Day, of Morehouse, MO.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Nelson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
