Bobby Wooten of Jackson, Mo., and Melissa Dawn Wheeler of Kennett were married in a private ceremony at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Spring Park in Tuscumbia, Ala., with Bro. Henry Melton of Florence, Ala., officiating. The couple exchanged vows intimately and privately with the natural beauty of cold water falls and "Big Spring" bubbling from the limestone rocks in Tuscumbia's Spring Park.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Barbara Wheeler and the late Pat Wheeler, all of Kennett and the granddaughter of Elzie and Virdie Wheeler and Bill and Mary Agnes Emery, all of Senath, Mo., and is employed as a private investigator.

The groom is the son of the late Glen and Lavon Wooten of Jackson and the grandson of Lawrence and Edna Wooten and Sam and Omie Lenville of Florence, Ala., and is employed as a private investigator and bounty agent.

Maid of Honor was Freda Russell of Tuscumbia, Ala., friend of the bride.

Best man was Jim O'Bryant of Muscle Shoals, Ala., cousin of the groom.

Music provided was: "Me and You" by Kenny Chesney, "You Had Me From Hello" by Kenny Chesney and "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion.

A private reception is planned and invitations are being sent.

A rehearsal dinner was held Friday, Oct. 17, at Catfish Haven in Tuscumbia.

The couple reside in Jackson, Mo.
