Hellen Louise Clowers, 85, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Wardell, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 19, 1923 at Parma, Mo., daughter of the late Lee Roy Skaggs and Vivian Alice Jaynes Skaggs, she was a former student of Risco School.
On Sept. 5, 1950, she married Marvin Clowers, who preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1979. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Pearl Vivian James Cecil.
Survivors include four daughters, Diana James, of Wardell, Vicki Duckworth, and husband Harold, of Cape Girardeau, Marcia Jones, and husband Frank, of Manvel, Texas, Cindy Tolbert, and husband Richard, of New Boston, Texas; one brother, Marion Roy Skaggs, and wife Mary Jo, of Bloomfield, Mo.; one sister, Ruth Clark, and husband Edwin, of Cabot, Ark.; three grandchildren, Jeff Jones, of U.S. Army, Iraq, Jason Tolbert and Mark Tolbert, both of New Boston, Texas.
Visitations will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, with the Rev. Griff Walker officiating.
Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
