Doris Faye Oxford, 69, of Ashland, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008.

Born May 28, 1939, in Trumann, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Odis Chandler Baker.

On Sept. 24, 1974, in Kennett, she married Hulon Oxford, who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Morris; six other brothers, Opie, Tonice, James, Felix, Vaughn and Earl and three sisters, Leta, Pauline and Edna.

Survivors include one daughter, Debra Sloan, of Ashland; one son, Bobby Oxford, of Ashland; six sisters, Sarah Adams, of Assumption, Ill., Maxine Ray, of Branford, Fla., Earline Nash, of Dudley, Mo., Carolyn Walker and Reta Sliger, both of Sikeston, Mo., and Jean Eubanks, of Kennett; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Thursday, Nov. 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnnie Sliger officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery at Senath, Mo.

Pallbearers are James Adams, Bill Baker, Jacky Eubanks, Butch McCollough, and Danny and Mike Jordan.

Honorary pallbearer is Austin Sloan.
