Born Nov. 6, 1927, in Franklin, Tenn., son of the late Robert Hiram and Sarah Emmaline Sanders Lomax, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War, and was employed at Three Rivers Community College. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.
On Oct. 24, 1952, in Holcomb, Mo., he married Troyce Ann Rollins, who survives.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff with Revs. Ron Lomax and Dave Elledge officiating.
Burial will follow in the Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo.
Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
