Jean Payne

Jean Payne, 74, beloved wife, mother, pastor, and friend passed away at her home in Rives, Missouri early on the 7th of November, 2008. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Payne of Rives, Missouri and two daughters; Linda and David Wilkerson of Bragg City, Missouri and Carol Ann and Thomas Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia. She has four grandchildren; David, Sara, Kelly, and Patrick Wilkerson and one great-granddaughter Kaylee Wilkerson. She is also survived by one sister, Shirley Skinner of Kennett, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Anna Mae Burton and two sisters, Ireta Jarred and Ruby Burton.

Jean was an ordained minister and served associate pastor for many years at Grace Regional Fellowship in Malden, Missouri before moving their church home to Faith Christian Center in Kennett, Missouri. Her enthusiasm for the lord was contagious and she will be rejoicing with many whom she led to Christ. Thanks to so many for prayers and support during her illness.

Visitation was held 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday Nov. 9, at the Faith Christian Center in Kennett. Pastor Ricky Williams and Pastor Clint Hopkins will be officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
