Eugene Ford

Eugene Franklin Ford, 81, of Gideon, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.

Born March 10, 1927, in Pocahontas, Ark., son of the late Shelby Eugene and Clara Robinson Ford, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII.

On Feb. 13, 1962, in Leachville, Ark., he married Laura Malinda Harvell, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Michael Wingate, of Gideon and Frankie Ford and wife, Delores, of Clarkton, Mo.; one daughter, Brenda Myers and husband, Glen, of Clarkton; three brothers, Donnie and Carl Ford, both of Leachville and Billy Ford, of Paragould, Ark.; three sisters, Shirley Larimer, of Paragould, Linda Hamilton, of Leachville and Bertha Danridge, of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Bounds.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Tuesday, No. 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earnest Puckett officiating.

Burial with military rites will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell, Mo.
