Homer Beckham

Homer J. Beckham, 81, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Malden.

Born Feb. 2, 1927, in Oklahoma City, Okla., son of the late Oren and Ida Hodo Beckham, he was a U.S. veteran, a heavy equipment operator and a member and former trustee of the Beechwell General Baptist Church in Campbell, Mo.

On Oct. 18, 1945, he married Lindy Lou Losh, who preceded him in death on Jan. 16, 1993. He later married Mary Pauline Davis on Sept. 19, 1996, who survives.

Survivors also include four sons, Larry Beckham and wife, Carolyn, and Tim Beckham and wife, Sandra, all of Malden, Gary Beckham and wife, Jan, of Campbell, Mo., and Mike Beckham and wife, Peggy, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two step-sons, Mike Batchelor and wife, Rita, and Larry Batchelor and wife, Norma, all of Dexter, Mo.; one daughter, Connie Beckham, of Malden'; one step-daughter, Brenda Ehbrecht and husband, Frank, of Santee, Calif.; five grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 24 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers, Dwight, Pleas and Ezra Beckham.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 3, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Gelsinger officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elder Cemetery at Campbell.
