Edna Mills, 85, of Kennett, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Aug. 5, 1923, in Rector, Ark., daughter of the late Earnest and Lessie Bell Carpenter McDonald, she was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
On Sept. 23, 1939, she married Carl M. Mills, who preceded her in death on July 9, 2001. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Jackson; and two half-sisters.
Survivors include four daughters, Rozetta Samford and husband, Dobber, of Holland, Mo., and Dainta Clevenger, Sandra Rushing and husband, Harold and Shelia Reynolds and husband, Jim, all of Kennett; two brothers, Lonnie Cecil and Earnest Leon McDonald, both of Rector, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Gary Andrews officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector.
Pallbearers are Bruce Wallace, Devon Samford, Shane Rushing, John Hensley, Shawn Clevenger and Charlie Broadway.
