Francis Clinton "Clint" Rose, 77, of Hornersville, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.

Born July 14, 1931 at Hollywood, Mo., son of the late Samual Cheatum and Gladys Ross Rose, he was a retired member of the U.S. Navy, a Vietnam veteran, a member of the Silverdale Baptist Church, and a member of the American Legion Post 362 of Hornersville.

On Jan. 12, 1951, at Piggott, Ark., he married Betty Lou Horner, who survives. He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Colton Howard; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Horner, of Hornersville; one son, Alan Clinton Rose, of Paragould, Ark.; two daughters, Tressa Yvohna Vincent, and husband Marty, of Paragould, and Lisa Anita Vaughn, and husband David, of Cardwell, Mo.; two brothers, Floyd Rose, and wife Alata, of Leachville, Ark., and S.C. "Dob" Rose, Jr., of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Mayfus Wilkerson, of Cuba, Ala., and Sharon Hitt, and husband, Tom, of Leachville; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitations will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 at the Bradshaw Chapel at Hornersville.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 with Bro. Kenny Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville.
