Born Aug. 8, 1936, in Hayti, Mo., son of the late Dewey and Ola Powell Wimberly, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and in the Army National Guard. He was employed at Trinity Industries.
On June 24, 1960, in Caruthersville, he married Imogene Maxwell, who survives.
Survivors also include four children, Paula Hudgings and husband, David, Tammy Walker and Rodney Wimberly, all of Caruthersville and Terry Wimberly, of Charleston, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Wimberly; one grandson, Adam Walker and a son-in-law, Gary Walker.
No services were held.
John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, Mo. was in charge of arrangements.
