Elsie Taylor Baum, 99, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008. Born Dec. 20, 1908 in Elvins, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Luther and Katie Stroup Taylor.
Elsie was a member of Calvary Full Gospel Church in Cardwell, Mo. She was a retired seamstress who was skilled in all manner of sewing and handiwork. She was a very active lady who enjoyed quilting, fishing, gardening, hummingbirds, redbirds, Scrabble and garage sales. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Baum; her sisters, Ethel Noble and Emma "Dutch" Shrum and her two children, Donald Baum and Kathryn Eyl.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Emma Baum, of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Mike and Debbie Baum, Susie and Bob DeYoung, Keith Baum, all of Beebe, Ark., Jay and Nancy Baum, of Cabot, Ark., Stephen Mark Eyl, of Columbia, Mo., Dionne Faulk, and Matthew Baum, both of Texas; 13 great-grandchildren, Christy and Chris Heil, Beth and Taylor Rettig, Michelle and Jacob Price, Becky and Brice, John DeYoung, all of Beebe, Sarah DeYoung and fiancÚ, Caleb Decker, of Heber Springs, Ark., Shawn Baum and April and Crandle, Jamie Baum, Amber Baum, all of Cabot, and Rachel and Jason Sanders, of Marshall, Ark., and Dionne's two sons in Texas, and seven great-great-grandchildren, Maryann and Macie Rettig, Noah Heil, Reuben Price, Cooper Jacks, and Thomas and Caroline Sanders.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo.
Graveside services will follow at Lulu Cemetery. Brother Leland Dement of Calvary Full Gospel Church will be officiating.
Pallbearers are Mike Baum, Keith Baum, Jay Baum, Steve Eyl, Matthew Baum and John DeYoung.
