Dwight "Bevis" Shelton Jr., 51, of Clarkton, Mo., died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at his residence.
Born Feb. 13, 1957, in Piggott, Ark., son of Doris Jean McFarland Shelton Johns and the late William Dwight Shelton Sr., he was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith.
On Oct. 24, 1980, in Malden, Mo., he married Debra Lynn Stone, who survives.
Survivors also include four daughters, Wendy Townsend and husband, Justin, of Gideon, Mo., Jessica Crawford and husband, Chris, of Malden, Stacey Richardson, of Clarkton and Michelle Seabaugh and husband, Tim, of Dexter, Mo.; his mother, Doris Shelton Johns and husband, Bill, of Niangua, Mo.; one sister, Debbie Lamarr and husband, Richard, of Campbell, Mo., and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the Stanfield Baptist Church in Clarkton.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the Sumach Cemetery at Holcomb, Mo. with the Rev. Jack Allen Officiating.
Landess Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of arrangements.
