Edna Louise Mitchell, 91, of Flint, Mich., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Flint.
Born Aug. 21, 1917, in Dell, Ark., daughter of the late John Hall and Hettie Stratton Waltrip, she was a sales clerk for Magic Mart and Walmart, and a member of Bristol Road Church of Christ in Flint.
In March of 1968 in Caruthersville she married Regan Mitchell, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, brothers and sisters and a son-in-law, Bobby Ford.
Survivors include three daughters, Katie Smith and husband, Eunie, of Flint, Carol Irions, of Symsonia, Ky., and Camilla Ford, of Caruthersville; one sister, Elsie Goodman, of Osceola, Ark.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo., with Jim Atchison officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey and Eunie Smith, Kevin and Bobby Irions and Devan and Scott Ford.
