Coy Willie Boyd, 95, of Manila, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at Manila Nursing Home.
Born April 6, 1913, in Hattieville, Ark., son of the late John and Elizabeth Reid Boyd, he was a farmer and a member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church.
On De. 31, 1933, in Guy, Ark., he married LaVon Bradshaw, who preceded him in death on June 21, 2008. He was also preceded in death by one son, Coy Mac Boyd; one daughter, Shirley Nell Boyd; six sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two sons, John Boyd and wife, JoAnn, of Manila and Charles Boyd and wife, Sylvia, of Jackson, Tenn.; one daughter, Debbye Boyd, of Little Rock, Ark., and other family.
Visitation will be begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Howard Funeral Home in Manila.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, in the Manila Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Fowler officiating.
