Man arrested on Dunklin County warrant

CAMPBELL, Mo. -- A Clarkton, Mo. man was arrested at Campbell on Wednesday, Oct. 8, following the serving of a Dunklin County warrant.

According to the report, the warrant, which was for the crime of attempt to commit second degree statutory rape, was a result of an investigation by the Campbell Police Department, with the assistance of the Clarkton Police Department, concerning the reported actions of Daniel Mendiata Arreaga, of Clarkton, at a residence in Campbell with a young girl on Sept. 20, 2008.

Arreaga was transported to the Dunklin County Justice Center and is being held on a $20,000 bond.
