Doug Maddox, 62, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born April 3, 1946, in Gideon, Mo., son of Syble Carter Maddox and the late W.D. "Dub" Maddox, he was a farmer and a member of the Flatlanders Tractor Club. He attended the Church of Christ in Malden.

On Jan. 21, 1966, in Malden, he married Jan Santie, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Lori Lynn Nicholson and husband, Keith, of Marion, Ark.; his mother, Syble Maddox, of Gideon; three brothers, Keith Maddox and wife, Brenda, of Fayetteville, Ark., and W.D. Maddox Jr., and wife, Linda, and Wendell Maddox and wife, Michelle, all of Gideon; three sisters, Sondra Wiggs and husband, Larry, of Gideon, Sheila Dell and husband, Ron, of Malden and Judy Elam and husband, Chris, of Loretto, Tenn., and two grandsons, Jacc Alan and Zackary Keith Nicholson, both of Marion.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Church of Christ in Malden with David McElwain officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
