Bethyl Maddox, 83, of Heber Springs, Ark., formerly of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Poinsett County, Ark.
Born April 13, 1925, in Marcus, South Dakota, daughter of the late Philip and Josephine Hegge Kilness, she was a farmer and a member of the Lynn Oak General Baptist Church on Clarkton, Mo.
On Jan. 13, 1947, in Kennett, she married H.B. Maddox, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Dale Maddox and wife, Liane, of Hardy, Ark., and George Maddox and wife, Liane, of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Ellen Hardin and husband, Ron, of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Harold Kilness, of Marcus; one sister, Helen Kilness, of Big Bear Lake, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Milton, Justin and Kenneth Kilness and one sister, Phyllis Waterland.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell.
