Marceline Marie "Blondie" Stanger, 74, of Holcomb, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at her residence.

Born March 15, 1934, in Crofton, Neb., she was the daughter of the late Hugo A. and Minnie Marie Carlo Doering.

On De. 12, 1953, she married Delbert Shirley, who preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1995. She later married Melvin Stanger in June of 1973, in Doniphan, Mo., who survives.

Survivors also include three daughters, Ruth Vines and husband, Freeman, of Holcomb, Rosalia Branch and husband, Mike, of Fisk, Mo., and Joanna Klein and husband, Cameron, of Steele, Mo.; three sons, Billy Shirley, and Cecil and Gary Baughn, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one sister, Peggy Carlo; three brothers, Roger, Raymond and Roy Doering; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Shirley and two brothers, Russell and Richard Doering.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., today, Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, Mo., with the Rev. Derrick Gouldman officiating.

Burial was in the Pope Chapel Cemetery at Doniphan.
