Mary Mildred Pattillo, 93, of Portageville, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at Portageville.
Born Dec. 15, 1914, in Puxico, Mo., daughter of the late Walter and Margarett Tanner, she was a cook and of the Pentecostal faith.
On Feb. 22, 1930, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Earnest Lee Pattillo, who preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1964. She was also preceded in death by eight children, Gaylon, Homer, Burley, Lee, Woodrow and Annie Pattillo, Sue Melton and Pauline Watson; 3 grandchildren, Diane and Mary Pattillo and Sadonna Melton; two grandsons, Mike Watson and Dennis Birdno and a great-grandson, Matthew Pinrod..
Survivors include eight children, Billy Pattillo, of Las Vegas, Nev., David Pattillo, of Bellville, Ill., Jerry Pattillo, of Estill Springs, Tenn., George Pattillo and Geraldine Wheeler, both of Portageville, Virginia Morris, of Hickory, Ky., Sanford Pattillo, of Morley, Mo., and Mary Nicker, of Dexter, Mo., and one brother, Benny Tanner, of Georgia.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo., with the Rev. Leroy Thornton officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Sanford and Chris Pattillo, Robert Watson, Mickey Camden and Ronnie and Donnie Morris.
