Oberia Duffel

Oberia Duffel, 85, formerly of Senath, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Aug. 12, 1923, in Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Pearlie Lee Tullos Bailey.

Survivors include nine children, Cletus Duffel, of England, Ark., Ron Duffel, of Fort Pierce, S.D., Rick Duffel, of Linden, N.C., Mickey Duffel, of Hornersville, Mo., Terry Duffel, of Clarksville, Ark., Debbie Jones, of Jonesboro, Ark., Steve Duffel, of Piggott, Ark., Robert Long, of Kennett and Marie Steward, of Steele, Mo.; one brother, James Bailey, of Senath; two sisters, Suzie Shown, of Kennett and Betty Small, of Mt. Holly, N.C.; 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lomax; one brother, Norman Bailey and one sister, Nellie Lindsey.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were John Wright, Gary Steward, Kevin Woods, Jerry Allmon, David Jones and Eddie Shown.

Memorials may be made to the Senath-Hornersville Educational Fund.
