Nova Jo Rutherford, 86, of Kennett, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at The Med in Memphis, Tenn.

Born June 2, 1922, in Pascola, Mo., daughter of the late John and Julie Johnson Hearington, she was a homemaker and a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Kennett.

Survivors include one brother, Pete James, of Greenwood, Ark.; one sister, Ruth Dempsey, of Senath, Mo.; a nephew and other family members.

She was preceded in death by one son, Gaylor Ray Hall; three brothers, Eugene James and Leonard and Webb Sebree and one sister, Gladys Sebree.

Private graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville, Mo.

Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
