Mildred Story

Mildred Juanita Story, 89, of Dexter, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

Born April 25, 1919, in St. Francis, Ark., daughter of the late Ed and Blanch Polsgrove Henderson, she was a member of the Kimball Baptist Church in Malden, Mo., and the VFW Auxiliary in Malden.

On May 30, 1937, in Piggott, Ark., she married C.A. Story, who preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1986. She was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Ray Story; four brothers, Ed, David, H.R. and Vernon Henderson and one sister, Ava Langley.

Survivors include one daughter, Myra Jines, of Dexter; two sisters, Lois Hollingsworth, of Spanish Fort, Ala., and Dolis Smith, of Springfield, Mo., and one grandson, David Pritchett, of Dexter.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., today, Friday, Sept. 12, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hall Cemetery at St. Francis.
