Bobby Ray Joiner, Sr., 59, of Tallapoosa, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Sept. 3, 1949, in Holcomb, Mo., son of Eva Ellen Chamblin Joiner and the late Howard Eugene Joiner, he was employed by the city of Malden.

On March 7, 2000, in Piggott, Ark., he married Kathleen Marie Simmons, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Bobby Joiner, Jr., and wife, Stephanie, of Bloomfield, Mo.; two daughters, Belinda Reynolds and husband, Bobby, of Essex, Mo., and Stephanie Gilbert and husband, Gary, of Dexter, Mo.; two step-daughters, Cyndi Wilson and husband, Scott, of Malden, Mo., and Christina Smith and husband, Brian, of Dexter; his mother, Eva Joiner, of Malden; two brothers, Ricky Joiner, of Alton, Mo., and Johnny Joiner, of Malden; four sisters, Frances McGinley, of Dudley, Mo., Sharon Blake, of Malden, Carlean McGinley, of Clarkton, Mo., and Debbie Farmer, of Bloomfield; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 8, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Gary Gilbert officiating.

Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
