According to the local police, Officer Craig Moody responded to an accident at approximately 7 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 at Frisco Street and Soybean Road.
"When I arrived I was met by a worker from Riceland Foods, who had located a wrecked truck on the property," Moody said in his report.
After locating the vehicle, Moody checked the truck's registration, which showed the 2004 Ford truck was registered to Codey P. Trinkler, 40, of Clarkton.
"While checking the area it appeared the vehicle missed the curve on Frisco Street, continued to travel straight until it struck a wooden loading ramp and then overturned, and struck a metal chain link fence," Moody said.
Following the investigation, on Sunday, Aug. 31, Trinkler contacted Moody, in person, at the Kennett Police Department about the accident and was then read his Miranda Rights.
Trinkler told Moody he did not know how the accident occurred and the last thing he remembered was late Friday afternoon, according to the police.
Trinkler is to appear on the said charge, Oct. 29, 2008, at the Kennett Municipal Court.
