The Claudia Foundation is bringing the famed actress and comic to the historic Rodgers Theatre for a one-night, one-woman show on Friday, Sept. 19.
Proceeds from the 7 p.m. performance will benefit the Claudia Foundation scholarship programs, with a portion also going toward Rodgers Theatre restoration efforts.
The event also will serve as the grand re-opening of balcony seating at the Rodgers. The balcony, sectioned off from the main floor for many years, will add 345 available seats to the theater, increasing capacity to 1,100.
The show will be followed by a dessert reception for Miss Tomlin hosted by Hollywood writers and producers Harry and Linda Bloodworth Thomason at the Bloodworth House, Claudia Foundation headquarters, at 626 Cynthia St. in Poplar Bluff.
General admission tickets for the Lily Tomlin show are $20 for the balcony and $35 for the main floor.
Tickets for main-floor VIP seating plus the dessert afterglow reception are $100 and are limited in number.
Tickets are available at Hays Music Store in downtown Poplar Bluff, at the Chamber of Commerce office, Pine Street and Business Route 67, and through the Claudia Foundation at (573) 686-3040 or (573) 429-8638. In Dexter, call (573) 624-2161.
