Alma Blake

Alma Louise Blake, 80, of Piggott, Ark., died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at the Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.

Born April 21, 1928, in Piggott, she was the daughter of the late Jessie A. and Edith A. Miller Crow.

On Sept. 3, 1949, she married Samuel A. Blake, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Jessie Blake.

Survivors include one daughter, Gail Daugherty and husband, James, of Kennett and other relatives.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Kim Bridges officiating.

Burial will follow in the Piggott Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Blake and Brant Tanner, Barry Johnson, Charles Adams, Scot Sale and Dennis Blake.
