Georgia Marguerite Kasper, 94, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at ST. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born May 24, 1914, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of James Ernest and Sarah Bascom Paris, she was a homemaker and ran Kasper's Bakery in Caruthersville.
On April 12, 1936, she married Lawrence Bruce Fisher, who preceded her in death. She married Herman Leo Kasper on Nov. 28, 1948.
Survivors include her children, Robert Bruce Fisher, of Bay St. Louis, Miss., James Lawrence Fisher, of Coon Rapids, Minn., John Henry Fisher, of Ashville, N.C., Kathryn Ann King, of Wynne, Ark., JoAnn VanPelt, of Jonesboro and Franklin Joseph Kasper, of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Maude Evelyn Highfill, of Little Rock, Ark., and Mary Elizabeth Hedden, of Metropolis, Ill.; one brother, James Bascom Paris, of Moses Lake, Wash.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Rita Ernestine Ashley and one brother, Charles Herbert Paris.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 1, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caruthersville with Father Robert Bruce Fisher officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Jon David and Michael Joseph King, Tracy House, Lisa and Lee Castle, and Lara and Dan Schwab.
Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caruthersville or St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wynne, Ark.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
