Jarrod and Christy Johnson of Kennett announce the birth of their daughter, Jayci Lynn Johnson, born Aug. 4, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.

She weighed 9 pounds and 6 ounces and was 19.7 inches long.

She is the granddaughter of Tommy and Jan Burgess of Hornersville, Mo., and Tom and Teresa Johnson of Senath, Mo., and the great-granddaughter of Twyla Spain and the late James Spain of Hornersville, Sue Battles and the late Russell Battles of Blytheville, Ark., and the late H.M. and Lib Johnson of Senath.
