The Dunklin County Library was recently chosen by the Missouri State Library to be recipient of two Early Literacy Stations for children ages two to eight years old.
According to, Dunklin County Library Director JoNell Minton, the computers are a part of an Early Literacy Pilot Project the library is involved with, and are valued at $5,104. The computers are kid friendly with forty top-rated educational software packages, covering seven curricular areas.
"The program is designed to encourage children to learn reading and language skills," Minton said
"All the kids have to do is sit down and play. It is just that easy and there is no training involved for the children."

FANTASTIC!!! Hopefully someday there will be another grant to help the 8 - 15 year olds. Let's help our children with all the tools we can.
