Othal Edward "Buck" Rudkin, 85, of Gideon, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Gideon Care Center.

Born Oct. 26, 1922, in Houston, Ark., son of the late Edward Bert and Martha Elizabeth Atkinson Rudkin, he was a farmer and formerly owned a grocery store.

On Oct. 28, 1944, he married Alice Nadine Ward.

Survivors include one son, Denny Rudkin, of Holcomb, Mo.; two daughters, Sheila Climer and husband, Gary, of Memphis, Tenn., and Tammy Lumbeck and husband, Ray, of Abilene, Texas, Ray is serving in the Air Force in Iraq; two grandchildren, Parrish Rudkin, of Holcomb and Brent Climer, of Southaven, Miss., and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Cornell Parnell and one granddaughter, Tonya Rudkin.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., today, Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden, Mo., with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell, Mo.
