Sheryl Crow
|
Kennett native Sheryl Crow is lending her vocal talents to a project 14 other popular singers are also collaborating on in support of cancer research.
"Just Stand Up" is the title of the song that Crow, along with, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood, has cultivated under the direction of Antonio "L.A." Reid, who produced the track with longtime creative colleague Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds.
The single is set to release Sept. 2 on radio and on iTunes. All sales associated with the song will support cancer research, which Crow, as a cancer survivor publicly promotes.
All 15 singers will also share the stage to perform the song live Sept. 5 at the "Stand Up to Cancer" television event that is to appear on ABC, NBC, and CBS, simultaneously.

I think I may be in love with Sheryl.
THANK YOU SHERYL FOR ALL THAT YOU DO. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
Thank you Sheryl for all your involvement in so many good causes. This one really hits home, when I was 25 I was diagnosed with ALL - Leukemia. I had a bone marrow transplant, and was cured after a very long fight. Only through research, and God, am I here to write this message. Thank you again.
