Dizer Wade Capps, 77, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at Caruthersville.
Born Aug. 11, 1931, in Harrisburg, Ark., son of the late Robert and Minerva Capps, he owned and operated Wardrobe Cleaners and was of the Baptist faith.
On Jan. 20, 1973, in Deering, Mo., he married Wanda Stout, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Ronnie Capps and wife, Louise, of Fort Smith, Ark., and Dizer Capps Jr., and wife, Jennifer, of Bentonville, Ark.; four daughters, Janie Wiseman and husband, Dave, of Palm Bay, Fla., Karen Pickens and husband, Deon and Karla Hedge and husband, Michael, all of Caruthersville and Paula Rose and husband, Michael, of Russellville, Ark.; one sister, Mavis Williams Henson, of Bragg City, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William "Bill" Capps; one sister, Rachael Ethridge; one grandson, Robert Capps and a nephew, Larry Bodkin.
Memorial services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, Aug. 18, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo., with Brother Doug Wahls officiating.
