Hubert Wilson Wheeler, 90, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at his residence.
Born July 7, 1918, at Wynnburg, Tenn., son of the late Wilson Jasper Wheeler and Elizabeth Brawley Wheeler, he was a retired employee of the Board of Public Works and a member of the First Southern Baptist Chuch at Malden.
On April 29, 1945, he married Willodean Terrell, who survives.
Survivors also include two daughters, Carolyn Shipman, of Kennett, and Janet Murphy, and husband Jim, of Bernie, Mo., one son, Mike Wheeler, and wife Ester, of Dexter, Mo., six grandchildren, Cindy Thomas, of Blytheville, Ark., Carrie Byers and Jacqueline Loggins, of Kennett, Christi Todd, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Jennifer Murphy, of Bernie, and Jarret Wheeler, of Grantsville, Utah, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Blanche Buck, Viola Allen, Stella Garrett, Jessie Buck, and Jewell Cottrell.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, at Rosewood Cemetery in Malden, with Rev. Joe Castoe officiating.
