Winfred Wilkins, 85, of Hallsville, Mo., died Aug. 10, 2008, at Audrain Country Medical Center in Mexico, Mo.

Born Nov. 8, 1922, in Hornersville, Mo., son of the late Jesse and Rachel Lovewell Wilkins, he was a U.S. Navy veteran, he worked for the University of Missouri Mail System and Ed's Quik Stop.

On Oct. 4, 1947, in Kennett, he married Inetha Farrell, who preceded him in death on May 2, 1980. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Daly and husband, Ed, of Hallsville and Rae Ann Hendrickson and husband, Dean, of Palmer, Alaska; six grandsons, Scott Daly, of Hallsville, Keith Daly of Columbia, Mo., Sgt. Jared Hendrickson, of Richlands, N.C., Nathan Hendrickson, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Dallas and Michael Hendrickson, both of Palmer; five great-grandchildren; four nephews and four nieces.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., today, Thursday, Aug. 14 at the Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 15, at the Memorial Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
