The Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) Bootheel Aerie 3715 celebrated its 32nd anniversary, Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, with a fiesta-style dinner, speeches and a dance.

The local FOE was presented with a certificate of recognition for their dedication to the national and international organization. "People Helping People" is the motto of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

This year, the State President's Projects are the Prevention of Breast and Colon Cancer. The FOE of Kennett will be a part of raising money for the prevention of these types of cancer.

During the anniversary celebration the FOE Aerie and Auxiliary raised $540.50 through raffles, an auction and the Eagle jail. State officers also sold assorted items with proceeds going to the State President's Projects.

The FOE of Kennett also supports such charities as, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Alzheimer's Foundation, The Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, The Diabetes Foundation, The Cancer Fund and Heart Fund, to name a few.

Fraternal order of Eagles is proud to be a part of the community and they are "People Helping People," according to members.

In June, the Aerie and Auxiliary gave scholarships two young recipients.

Each year the Auxiliary hosts Halloween and Christmas parties for the Sheltered Workshop and the Dunklin Day Activity Center of Kennett. The auxiliary also hosts Easter, Halloween, and Christmas parties for area youth.

Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3715 would like to encourage everyone that has been thinking about becoming an Eagle to come visit and join an organization that strives to help all people.
