At 18-years-old, Ashley Street, of Kennett, has accomplished many things in her young life.

In middle school, Street was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She was also an accelerated reader and an MAP high achiever. She had perfect attendance in middle school and learned computer literacy.

In high school, Street was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Science Club, Year Book Committee, Art Club, Library Club, and Future Business Leaders of America. She was voted Vice President of the Art Club. She was also a member of the "Who's Who Among American High School Students."

While in middle school, Street decide that art would be her career choice so she mapped out her high school years to accommodate her goal. Street won several state and local art contests including Congressionals, which was awarded top ten in the district by U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson, and Young at Art at the Hemingway Museum. She was also a Hemmingway-Pfeiffer Museum participant.

Street has been a member of the Girl Scouts for 13 years, and was awarded the Gold Award for raising awareness for the need of a Habitat for Humanity Chapter in Kennett.

The Girl Scouts have also presented Street with the Bronze Award, Silver Award, PAT, Community Service Bar, 10-year pin, Service to Girl Scouts Bar, Cadet Leadership Award, Senior Leadership Award, Cadet Girl Scout Challenge, Junior Leadership, Senior Career Pin, From Dreams to Reality Award, Girl Scout 4-B Award, Junior Aide, and Bridged to Adult Girl Scouts.

Street will be attending Murray State University in Murray, Ky. this fall, where she will be majoring in Architecture Engineering and Interior Design.

"Ashley is respectful and caring to her family and friends and is loved by all. We could not ask for a more perfect daughter," said Street's mother, Anita Street.
