Syble Lee Kelley, 88, of Sikeston, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, at her residence.
Born June 17, 1920, in Faulkner County, Ark., daughter of the late Carroll and Mettie Bell Ward, she was a homemaker and a member of Ely Baptist Church in Kennett.
In 1938 she married Raymond Spence, who preceded her in death. On April 14, 1968 she married Paul Kelley, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four brothers; three sisters and one grandson, Johnathan Kyle Spence.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Spence, of Cary, Ill., and Donald Spence and wife, Barbara, of Senath, Mo.; four daughters, Joyce South, of Warrensburg, Mo., Sandra Kay and Brenda Spence, both of Sikeston and Sheila Spence Thompson and husband, Tim, of Byhalia, Miss.; one step-son, Bill Kelley, of Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., today, Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Tim Thompson, Stephen Reid, Mike Jackson, Ray Spence and Tommy and Ron Brock.
Honorary pallbearers are Bill Kelley, Andrew and Nathan Spence, Chen Ooi and Jack Jackson .
