Edna Provance, 100, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born Sept. 2, 1907, in Malden, daughter of the late Edgar and Olive Dunscomb, she was a school teacher and a member of the Sunnyvale General Baptist Church.
On Aug. 31, 1930, in Campbell, Mo., she married Elson Franklin Provance, who preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1990. She was also preceded in death by four brothers; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include one son, W.F. "Buck" Provance and wife, Elizabeth, of Malden; four daughters, Margaret McFarland and husband, Jerry, of Melbourne, Ark., Gail Bauer and husband, Norman, of Chelsea, Mich., Barbara Tallarico and husband, Bob, of Grand Junction, Colo., and Betty King and husband, Bob, of Malden; one sister, Margaret Williams; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 8, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 8, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Hamlett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
