Betty Jean Maxwell, 78, of Cardwell, Mo., died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Health Center in Paragould, Ark.
Born May 23, 1930, in Arbyrd, Mo., daughter of the late Joseph "Joe" and Edith Fike Burk, she was a headstart coordinator and a member of the Hollywood Church of Christ in Hollywood, Mo.
On Dec. 17, 1948, in Kennett, she married Homer Calvin Maxwell, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Paul Keith and Joe Bryant Maxwell, both of Paragould; one sister, Mary Branum, of Hornersville, Mo.; one grandson, Chris Maxwell, of Paragould and one great-grandchild, McKenzie Maxwell, of Paragould.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters,
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Thursday, July 31, at the Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home in Hornersville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 1, at the Hollywood Church of Christ with John Binkley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery at Senath, Mo.
Pallbearers are Jeff Carter, Gary Renfrow, Dan Stokes, Chris Maxwell, Greg Thomas and Michael Watson.
