Dorothy Mayberry, 78, of Kennett, died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Ark.

Born Dec. 25, 1929, in Kennett, daughter of the late Pete and Hazel Stumpf Mayberry, she was employed at Emerson Electric Motors and was a member of Elm Grove General Baptist Church.

Survivors include one sister, Nina Gurley, of Kennett; one nephew, Phil Gurley, of Kennett and two great-nephews, George Gurley, of Caledonia, Miss., and Phil D. Gurley, of Kennett.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and C.R. Mayberry; one sister, Maxine Mayberry; one nephew, Gary Gurley and one great-nephew, Paul David Gurley.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Tuesday, July 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 30, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles James officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers are Jim Blankenship, Jimmy Hayes, Danny Langston, Homer Swain and Jerry Carnett.

Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Masterson, David Pullin and Don Harris.
