Born April 2, 1920, in Morrilton, Ark., daughter of the late Fredrick Lewis and Synthia Emmaline Weaver Sowell, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Risco.
On July 25, 1942, she married Giles Edward Hensley, who preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1966. She was also preceded in death by two sons, James Hensley and Jeff Huggins; four brothers, Bill, Lonnie, Fletcher and Charlie Sowell; three sisters, Claudia Malone, Elzadia Caldwell and Anthonia Bradford and one granddaughter, Bilie Sue Huggins.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Dordon and Beulah Evans and husband, Jeff, all of Risco and Marilyn Meese and husband, Johnny, of Broseley, Mo.; six sons, Ralph Huggins and wife, Lillian Huggins, of Malden, Mo., John Hensley and wife, Penny and Jim Hensley, all of Risco, George Hensley and wife, Lora, of Tallapoosa, Mo., Dan Hensley and wife, Jeanie, of Greenville, Mo., and Doug Hensley and wife, Tammy, of Gideon, Mo.; two daughters-in-law, Deloris Huggins, of Malden and Effie Hensley, of Risco; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Friday, July 25, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 26, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
