Edna Hicks

Edna Olivia Hicks, 72, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Oct. 26, 1935, in Onia, Ark., daughter of the late Newton B. Diffey and Ruthie Balentine, she attended school in Monette, Ark., and North Pemiscot County and worked in manufacturing.

On June 19, 1954, in Chicago, Ill., she married Frank W. Hicks, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Elvie Milligan.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 2, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville, Mo., with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating,

Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
